Welcome to the Conneaut Masjid Campaign—a historic effort to establish the first-ever masjid in Ashtabula County (NE Ohio). For too long, our community has traveled over an hour to reach a place of worship. We are raising $250k to purchase a suitable building and open the doors of a vibrant masjid that can serve our community for generations to come.

Why This Masjid Matters

In Ashtabula County, over 50 families and countless individuals lack a local masjid. Our masjid will not only be a sanctuary for prayer but also a center for education, community support, and dawah. It will embody the pure and timeless teachings of Islam—uniting our community under one roof and strengthening our collective identity.

Updates

May 2025: Alhamdulillah, the Erie Masjid (about an hour away) allowed us to fundraise after Jumuah and we raised an additional $301 in cash that does not reflect on the donation count on the right. May Allah reward the brothers and sisters for helping to establish a house of Allah, ameen.

April 2026: A building we had hoped to purchase was ultimately withdrawn by its owners, who chose not to sell and have since begun demolishing it. We thank everyone for their patience and continued duaa.

May 2026: We then pursued the town's old library as a possible home for the masjid. That request was also declined in early May, and the building was demolished later the same month.

These doors closing have not slowed our resolve. By the will of Allah, this fund remains fully active and ready: every donation is held for the next suitable building, so that when the right opportunity comes, our community can act without delay. Jazakum Allahu khairan for standing with us.
